Definitions & giving birth! :)

I got this as a forward and it definitely brought a smile on! Don’t know the actual source; a friend of mine sent this over. I suppose any one in the software industry can relate to the following 🙂

Here goes 🙂

Project Manager is a Person who thinks nine women can deliver a baby in One month.
Developer is a Person who thinks it will take 18 months to deliver a Baby.
On-site Coordinator is one who thinks single woman can deliver nine babies in one month.
Client is the one who doesn’t know why he wants a baby.
Marketing Manager is a person who thinks he can deliver a baby even if no man and woman are available.
Resource Optimization Team thinks they don’t need a man or woman; they’ll produce a child with zero resources.
Documentation Team thinks they don’t care whether the child is delivered, they’ll just document 9 months.
Quality Auditor is the person who is never happy with a delivered baby.
Tester is a person who always tells that this is not the Right baby.
HR Manager is a person who thinks that… a Donkey can deliver a Human Baby – if given 9 Months !!!

  1. I can relate to it completely and it is so very true. It’s a very old forward but I am glad it is slowly but surely reaching everyone. People will now get to know how difficult is it to work as a Software delivery boy…err I mean Software Developer 😀

Yeah :D! Am sure the others with other roles would say it is difficult too 🙂

  2. Yeah, have received this before. My fav is the Quality Auditor !

Most of you must have received this as I said…but still makes a good read na? 🙂

  3. Apar-

good one….kinda felt insulted at the HR Manager one…not all HR folks are that dumb! Otherwise, it was a good list.

Mitr, this is a joke! Not all PMs are like that either or any other definition for that matter 🙂

  4. LOL… Come up with something for the PR industry! 😀
    That’ll be fun! For example:

Consultant: Someone who thinks he/she’s a newborn baby.
Client: Always wants a C-section! Always! No exceptions! Even if he/she’s not pregnant!
    and so on… 😀

Hey Nikhil, it can be a post on your blog….definitions for the PR industry!! Am sure we all will have a good laugh or at least a chuckle! 😀

  5. 🙂 had a loong list of defintions, computer and others.

Mother-in-law – a ready source of all knowledge, especially advice, history, and judgments.

Father-in-law – the fellow who is now happy to have paid for the wedding because now his wife has another man to harass.

Yeah..this is the guy’s side definition…what about the gal’s side…want them? 🙂 Have read the list you are talking about!

  6. Umm.. I am in Human Resource.. 😦

That apart.. actually, I’ll comment when I get over this 😦

lol! Get over it quick…it is just a joke 🙂 And call me when u are free 😀

  7. seeing the lack of sportiveness amidst the HR folks here one point is proven, they are dumber than the definition =))

Welcome here guest! I know the HR folk who have commented. I can assure you that they are really smart women. I yearn to get somewhere close to their knowledge & experience, expertise…. This is a joke. No points to be proven….read, smile/laugh and let it go 🙂
